Premie Friends. | ![]() | ||

Hi Everyone, I'm continuing a topic that is being discussed below and is about to land on page 2. I've been talking to a few people about premie friends. The subject arose because "Anna", defended her friend, Glen Whittaker, who apparently (and I've no reason to doubt it), is on record as lying for his master Captain Rawat. Glen is also an old friend of mine. I've met him a couple of times since I left the cult, and still consider him a friend. We've been talking about this below. When people become public figures, spend our donations, taxes whatever, we feel entitled to criticise them even though we don't know them. We judge them from their public actions and form our view accordingly. If however, we spend enough time with someone to get to know them, our view changes. If a public figure is a personal friend, or view of them is different again. Living in London, like most Londoners, I complained about the poor underground train service. Then I worked for London Underground for a couple of years. After that I'm amazed any trains ever run at all. When I exited from the cult publicly there were two kinds of reaction from my premie friends. About half acted like I'd got the plague, and have avoided all contact with me since. I had become an evil, hate-filled, angry being, out to damage the Lords' work- a sort of highly confused Judas Iscariot character. The other half contined to be friends as before. My tactics for social interaction with my premie friends are not to mention Rawat or his crashed mission unless someone else brings the subject up. This seems to work well, and most of the premies never raise the topic more than once or twice. I sometimes wonder what would happen if I bumped into Captain Rawat again. I think I'd deal with it the British way, and be formal and polite so as not to cause an embarassing scene. "Mr Rawat. What a surprise after all these years. How are Marolyn and the children?..... Ah good. And the cult...?" What would you say? "Can I have my money back please?" Anth still playing with the marbles trying to spell out the words.
