Yes, if you look too deeply into my example, it doesn't hold up too well. I was trying to illustrate my post-modern view that things look very different if you are standing somewhere else. What I was getting at was this thing we all do, and I'm not criticising it by the way, of attacking people we don't know and have never met.

If you write someone off because of race, religion, politics, diet etc, I think you're in danger of missing something important. People constantly surprise me. There are always exceptions to the rule. Oscar Schindler is a good example of what I mean. Friend of Concentration Camp boss, exploiter of Jewish slave labour, made honary citizen of Israel after the war. (No, I'm not comparing Schindler to Glen).
