Dear Billy,
It really is much simpler than you think.
Virtually every post directed to me contains deliberate distortions, absurd assumptions and lazy logic.
Take yours as an example.

BILLY: I too have had my doubts about whether M was ever told about Jagdeo because just like POV I found it impossible to believe that he would have let him carry on if he had been told. Nowadays I am not so sure. I agree with POV that M is not always told about things that might 'upset' him but if this was the case here what are we to make of Judy and Randy? Did they think that by not doing anything about it the problem would go away? How could they possibly think that? How could they possibly take that responsibility? It seems inconcievable.
POV: Yes, it is inconceivable that Judy and Randy would make so little effort but don't forget Billy, no one made much effort for more than 20 years, including the victims and their families.
No letters to EV, no letters to Maharaji, no legal advice, no report to the police, no demand for action, just a verbal complaint to another premie that they never bothered to follow up. Inconceivable!

BILLY: According to POV the fact that nothing was done to stop Jagdeo is proof positive that M could not have known.
POV: And here we see you sliding into deliberate distortions. I have never said that Maharaji's lack of action was "proof positive that M could not have known".
I have said that there is no proof that he did know and therefore no justification for people like you to claim that he did. Other than to jump on the blame bandwagon.

BILLY: So, he turns his clinical logic on the victim and the parents. He is 'blunt', 'logical' and 'honest'. But not very kind, understanding or fair. There are no rebukes for Judy or Randy and of course none for M. His critical logic fires only in one direction. It seems the victims had responsibilities, the parents had responsibilities but not M.
POV: I think it is obvious that there are three separate issues here.
Jagdeo's assault, which we all agree was heinous.
The efforts made by all concerned to bring him to justice, which we all agree were lamentable.
And the ongoing efforts of silly people to blame Maharaji for it all, which you think is fine and I think is a disgrace.

BILLY: M was not responsible for the ashrams, he was not responsible for the 'misconceptions' of many that he was the Lord of the Universe and he was not responsible for his mahatmas.
In short M can do no wrong and incredibly has done no wrong, ever. 'He' may not be 'perfect' but seen through the eyes of a devotee his 'actions' certainly are.
It is for this reason that people like POV have such a hard time with EPO. For them it is nothing less than a blasphemous organ. And yet EPO is nothing but a warts and all 'reflection' on the World of Knowledge. It is a testament to the fact that actions have consequences for 'all'.
POV: I don't have a hard time with EPO, I'm glad it's there.
Where else would I find that it was the Detroit police who decided not to pursue Fakiranand?
Where else would I find Mishler and Dettmers quoted as saying Maharaji never claimed to be God?
Where else would I find Dettmers saying "The time I spent with Maharaji were important years in my life, and I continue to derive great benefit from the knowledge he taught me"
And "Maharaji always treated me with great respect, dignity and love, not just while I worked with him, but also at the time of my departure".
And, of course, this beauty from Michael Donner when he first came across EPO "anyways here i am now...little interest in clarifying all the mistatements i read in the archieves really, concerns me some that folks repeat rumours as fact and create obvious confusion in the name of sharing clarity to help current cult members out of cult. oh well".

"Oh well" indeed.
Even a site so carefully constructed to present the worst possible view of Maharaji contains little gems that undermine its whole reason for existence.
