Yes, it is inconceivable that Judy and Randy would make so little effort but don't forget Billy, no one made much effort for more than 20 years, including the victims and their families. No letters to EV, no letters to Maharaji, no legal advice, no report to the police, no demand for action, just a verbal complaint to another premie that they never bothered to follow up. I quite agree that if DLM/EV were an org like the multitude of others it's modelled on, & if Rawat were an accountable CEO then it would be difficult for an outsider to understand exactly why the victims took the course they did. However, for those of us who know, & that includes you, that this is a 'through the looking glass' operation, then the reason is perfectly plain.

In a closed and self sufficient group where the de facto Divinity of its leader is unquestioned, any petitioner can only appeal directly to the top for the redress of any wrongs. This is the pre- modern principle of justice; one which is well understood,& is still in force in many parts of the world. The 'genius' of the DLM/EV structure has been to present a modern quasi-legal face to the world, whilst, with the admitted connivance of the premies, to be really in the business of catering to the whims of an old fashioned Oriental Despot.

The difficulty of course for the average reasonable man, would be in understanding why anyone would volunteer to subjugate themselves in such a way.
