Demon Haunted World.  The issue of "alien abduction" and, in fact, the entire range of UFO hysteria is directly addressed in there.  One of the things that Sagan does so well is present the "big picture."  How many people remember that in the early days of UFOlogy, that people who had contact said that the "aliens" were from Mars.  Psychics said it, abductees said it...... until we knew from the satellite missions that there was likely no intelligent life on Mars..... then the stories changed.  "My addition:" Now they come from the Pleiedes.  Ehhhhhhhhhhhh!  Wrong again, that system of stars is too young and too far away.  You'd have to believe that an intelligent lifeform evolved there AFTER we began our evolutionary journey and that they bypassed our evolution at breakneck speeds, too!  Zeta Reticulae? (Betty and Barney Hill)  Ehhhhhhhhh!  Wrong again..... no planets!  Sheesh, where will those silly aliens come from next, eh?
