First, regarding the lineage issue, I really appreciate those of you who provide information on all this, because it's never anything I paid much attention to.  Nevertheless, there are now contradictions.

On the one hand, Rawat is promoting that he is part of a lineage of Indian gurus and that the techniques of meditation that he offers are part of this tradition.

On the other hand, Rawat is arguing that  the Indian concepts such as Perfect Master, Lord of the Universe, darshan, arti, and the rest are incorrect, that they are cultural misunderstandings of some sort.

So, if that's true, on what basis then does Rawat claim to have the power to initiate in meditation and inspire his followers?

Can anybody shed some light on this?  I can't make any sense out of it.  How does Rawat hope to get anywhere with this glaring contradiction?

Is it just ineptness in Rawat's presentation (which would not be the first time)?.  Is it an attempt to have it both ways, to try to attract the spiritual types who would be attracted to the lineage, but then also try to attract those who are turned off by it?   But if that's true, how do you hide the contrary information -- and not EPO-type informaiton, contradictory information that the cult itself is putting out?

Second, regarding Rawat's speaking style.  Many premies, and even some ex-premies, say that Rawat is an attractive, charismatic speaker.  It even says this on EPO.

Well, I may be in the minority, but even when I was a premie, and even more so now,  I always thought Rawat was a very unattractive man with a poor public speaking manner   I think he is mostly well below the average motivational-inspirational speaker, especially given how long he has been doing it.

What do you guys think?  I'm just always amazed when people (including some ex-premies), who say he is an excellent speaker.  I think he is mediocre at best.
