Good points. I must admit I have never actually heard one of Limbaugh's radio shows, but I have heard snippets and descriptions of what he does.
I agree with your comparisions and the other thing is that apparently both speak, such as they do, with absolute certainty about whatever it is they are saying. There is no doubt, just complete confidence. This is unusual in most of our daily interchanges.
Whole books have been written pointing out the false information that Limbaugh utters (my personal favorite is AL Franken's "Rush Limlbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot'), but Rawat actually doesn't say much, except, like you say, repeat platitudes.
The other thing is like you mention, complete control of the environment. Limbaugh doesn't allow anyone to be on, or call into, his program who isn't in complete agreement, if not in complete awe of him.
Same is true of Rawat. I mean, just look at me, a mild-mannered, pacifist, vegetarian, gay, middle-aged, management consultant, who was considered too dangerous and threatening to allow into an event where Rawat was appearing at UC Berkeley, not that he would have allowed questions in that event anyway. Just me in the room was just apparently too much confrontation for him. I got an extremely mean email from "Elan Vital" telling me what I threat I was. It was really funny. The reporter at the Daily Californian thought it was funny, too.
