Gok,

Our discussion below is about to go off the screen, so I am starting a new thread up here.  Could you clarify something for me?

I know you're a good guy, but I can't help but think that you're being a bit disingenuous here.  I refer to the part where you talk about Maharaji showing you how to experience an inner power and then him reminding you how to experience it.  Surely this is public relations talk rather than plain English. That sounds like being shown how to do multiplication and then being so mathematically challenged that you need to go back for refresher courses again and again.

What I think you really mean to talk about, if you were being totally upfront with us here, is what some people call Shaktipat, sometimes spelled Shaktiput.  The basic idea is that the guru triggers the divine spark in you, and when you go back and get his darshan again and again, that spark of divinity is charged up.

Now, back in the 70's, I don't think we premies used the term Shaktiput much, but we had that same idea.  And I think the idea continues.  As I said, I think you must believe that you are getting something from Rawat that is more than just instruction and reminders and yet you talk about it here as if it were nothing more than instruction and reminders.

Could you possibly use plain English here?

Thanks.
