"it" refers back to the last sentence about exes being so upset with Rawat.  Being upset with Rawat would be understandable...

Sorry for the careless writing on my part.  Of course I didn't mean to say what that sentence means on its own without the previous sentence to refer to.  I hope I didn't confuse too many people.
