yes, I remember how wonderful it was after 27 years.  Even though I was middle-aged before being liberated it did not dim my enthusiasm.  And I saw the enormous pleasure my mother had being liberated from her cult in her 80's.  Better late than never could not be more true.  It makes such a difference.

I think it becomes more important as you age, not less.  Death, I think puts lies into perspective -  for my father lies were a way of life but in order to face his death he needed the ground under his feet.  It was me being honest that brought him comfort.

I think it's a thing that people experience when loved ones die - that two or three days later you see and talk to them.  We had an outdoor shower and so I was taking a shower and looking at the creek running by and there he is, I mean it's an inner vision isn't it, I didn't see him in 3D like when he was alive.  But there he is just beyond the rock in front of the shower and he has come in penitence, his slippers in his hands he is weeping and asking me to take him into the fold and I told him to go haunt his sons, do some good.

It is interesting to think about now and kinda funny - both my brothers have completely changed their view of our father, he can do no wrong, it's quite extraordinary to me how entirely they have whitewashed both his character and his deeds.

it is not the same for me.  I always want the ground under my feet.  I'm glad he was sorry at the end, he needed to be, and glad that he came and told me, family love is in the flesh of us.

so this is probably drifted into being more about mortality than liberation.

And I know I owe both you and Moley a reply.

I've been enjoying talking through the topics.

Feel like the conversation about Trump gets derailed because you use it as a platform to promote him.
