I have spent a lot of my life as an apolitical person, but after my experiences at university (with Critical Theory as I have talked about somewhere below!) I have felt an urgency to communicate about the dangers of neo-Marxism. As I’ve said, that was why I thought Trump was a better choice than Hillary Clinton, and then Joe Biden. They are not full on neo-Marxists of course but they pander to their far Left wing. Trump will have none of that!

I think your fear that Trump will try and hang on to the Presidency for life is without any foundation. It is a fear whipped up by the far Left and their mouthpieces in the media. After all, although he had reasons to believe the 2020 election was stolen from him by illegal skullduggery. he didn’t establish a Dictatorship and carry on regardless, did he? 

I didn’t address your hippy back to nature sentiments. Yes indeed, I know how you feel and sometimes long for a log cabin life! Yet as a friend pointed out yesterday there are a lot of downsides! I then remembered I’ve over-wintered in a wooden chalet with Nigel - no mains electric or gas. Our indoor calor gas froze and we nearly got hypothermia one morning after our coal fire we were sleeping in front of went out in the night! Then there are the mice! I’ve lived in a couple of remote farmhouses - one with mice and mould, the other with only log fires and no mains energy supply there either! I do enjoy walking my little dog in woods and fields every day though. and wish I had the money for a comfortable country cottage! 

I tried the growing your own food,  and even kept goats when I was young. It was great and what stopped that lifestyle was becoming an aspirant and being Told that to get Knowledge we aspirants had to move into a city community!! That’s one for the other forum! P
