Sorry, Jim, I missed the inverted commas that show you were using the phrase ironically. It's amazing, though, how many people have jumped in in support of "black and white thinking".
As for Greaves--well, that's not a debate I've followed. Of course I don't trust Greaves to be an objective scholar, but I can see why Andries may not be able to take such a clear-cut position. He hasn't been through our experience, and he's under different pressures. If we give him time he'll probably come to the right conclusion, and his argument will be all the stronger for it. You can't bludgeon people into the truth.
