Jonx,
As far as I can tell, the only places in life where doubt is unacceptable is in religion and the military. The better religions, if you can call them that, at least tolerate some discussion about doubts and try to address them. The worst religions, cults, in other words, don't even allow that but hammer hard on the very existence of doubt itself. Personally, I think that's extremely unhealthy. It gives licence to cult leaders like Rawat to do and say whatever without question and it suppresses a very natural, important human faculty. We doubt things because they don't jive with various other things we know or believe. A healthy examination of our doubts allows us to make the best choices. Suppressing our doubts leaves us sitting ducks for someone like Rawat to tell us what to think and that, my friend -- oh sorry, mate -- compromises our integrity.
That's my opinion. What's yours? Tell us about doubt, Jonx. Please.
