A few folks here might remember an iconic cult poster from about 1975. A lovely, bright five-year-old-girl on a swing with blue skies, abundant flowers and plenty of sunshine:
"Remember that feeling?"
And to all your excellent examples of child neglect in that cult, I would add 1) the resentment of "house holder" premies who couldn't move into the ashram because of their children; 2) non-western Hindu-derived names given to the children of premies; and 3) premie parents to this day dipping into their adult childrens' inheritances to leave money and property for Prem Rawat in their wills.
And don't forget the premie divorce mills around the time of DECA to free premies up to serve their Lord and Master.
