This God = energy thing is a weird view. Since every physical thing is essentially energy, then everything is conscious, so it makes as much sense to "love" a housebrick as to "love" a human being.

On the plus side, it does provide a handy excuse for loving your collection of watches and cars and not worrying too much about the thousands of poor saps who paid for them.
