my second was that is just like I remember my teenage years in England - adrift amongst a motley crew.  Looking back there are a few nice people who stand out.

It's the same round here too.  I was going to say well at least it's just humans and animals are still pretty sensible but I have to listen to the howling dogs being mistreated next door and it just feels like it's spreading from humans to animals.  

Praise the Lord and kiss the ground I walk on, I live alone with my little cat who is proud as punch of me today, he kept winding around and jumped up on the furniture so he could give me kisses as it became completely clear to him this is true and now we have a pact, he will catch the mice, and I will not let any more temporary tenants in.  Holiday rentals if or when I need to, but no more tenancies.  

And here I sit in an oasis of sunny peacefulness this morning.  It is literally like regaining the ground beneath my feet.  Now I've just got to sanctify it with a mop and a bucket of Dr Bronner's Salsuds will do just fine.
