Wow - these pics are bringing back such memories. Remember how the astrodome was supposed to take off and take us all to MARS??? Who said that? I'm thinking it was Balbagwang ji (which I can't spell and I don't think he's called that anymore -- you know the thin older brother who split off and started his own cult) ;-D

But who is that behind Mischler?

Several astrologers were consulted in the months leading up to the milennium program, notably Carl Roles at Producer's studios, Hollywood... BBj spent much of his time (with several premies) building this grandiose fantasy, any astrological coincidence was seized upon as proof of the upcoming fantastic event... excitement escalated everywhere.. weirder and weirder predictions and trips evolved, surrounding the res.'s up until the Houston lift off. Ouija board readings were a nightly event among the res. staff. BBj often attended, he was, I have to say, at least approachable, and often got down with the common herd in a more natural way... he accepted acts of devotion; like foot touching, in a more polite way; inconspicuously like a low profile but high ranking officer..

I remember attending satsang for a week or so and the numbers seemed to be building up daily with people who already seemed to be premies and the vibe was getting more and more excited and intense. I didn't know anybody and left immediately it ended cause I had a long trip home and started work at 7am. Then the next night there were 5 or 6 really depressed, downhearted people lamenting they could not go to this Millenium thingy that was going to change the world and blast all the premies into outer space that apparently was happening in Texas. Texas?. I'd assumed they were talking about the coming metaphorical millenium that Guru Maharaji was ushering in: The Golden Age when everyone in the world had Knowledge.
From LOTU video:
"People are going to come here with incredible negative,
predetermined notions and they’re going to go away spaced-out and blissed-out
and really turned on. Anybody that is exposed to this vibration cannot fight it
because it’s stronger than anything you know, the vibration of Guru Maharaji is
stronger than anything that that has ever, ever been known. There’s a rumour
going around that NASA is tracing and following him around the country because
his energy level is stronger than anything they’ve ever seen."

You have got to be kidding..... someone said this? "....There's a rumour going around that NASA is tracing and following him around the country because his energy level is stronger than anything they've ever seen....."Uhhhhhhhh...... NOPE! If he had a tenth of the energy of a GRB, his presence would annihilate 10 billion earths in a row before even getting winded. Sorry...... not even close to the most pwoerful thing NASA has ever tracked. NASA has been tracking GRB's, by the way, since the days of the Vela satellites..... look them up, see what they were intended to do, then look at the dates. WAY before the festival...... Anyway, who ever heard that rumor? I never did. If I had, I probably would have laughed in the face of the teller of that tale (yes, even back then)

Not only was it said but it is on the TVTV LOTU tape. It's worth the money for that speech and Rennie's satsang on the Astrodome hotel Master Bedroom alone. Mind you watching it the first few times was incredible confronting and embarassing.

Yes definitely Mishler. In the bottom left photo the mahatma looks like Gyanyoganand, not Gurucharnanand, although it is so out of focus you can't really say. The guy on the very bottom left however is Ron Colletta, one time M's main personal servant (in the Bihari Singh - Patrick McCracken line). -- Mike

yes, on second thoughts it is Ron Colletta -, tho' it looks a little like Bihari Singh too, (moustache?) (that's who I meant previously!, not sampuranand! memory is fading) Bihari was darker, older: still not sure about mahatma tho', perhaps the way he tied his robe might be a clue... and shiny smile ... angle of head ... Gy. less used to darshan, might have been more bowed.. still can't rule out Gurucharanand ... also more likely to be that close to m in that group... I have a feeling the location is m's backstage sitting area at houston astrodome..

I wonder what happened to him?

Ron lives in Miami still, and usually spends 2-3 weeks at Christmas at the residence at Malibu, in two apartments to the left side of the res when standing looking out of the front door. Ron stays in one with Bogle his lady, and John Miller the other. He also lives in Miami (Raja Jis playmates.)John drives M in Lauderdale and Miami, as the boat was situated in Fort Lauderdale and so no regular premie could drive there. They are more playmates for M over Christmas, and they help with the washing up etc.
