Come to think of it, it's not like a film that can just have subtitles.  Translating a stage musical into another language would be a huge undertaking.  So, I guess that idea of mine was kind of far-fetched that it might have opened in Germany.

Speaking of limits on free speech, out idiot Congress is once again discussing a Constitutional Amendment to ban burning the American flag.  It is such a joke, but it could pass, although I don't think it would get the required 3/4 of the states to approve.  Seems we might have better things to do than spend time on that.

Anyhow, I guess free speech is something you have to keep fighting for and not take for granted.  One of the reasons that "agreement" on the "keys" sounds so, well, fascist, is that the cult is essentially that way.  Free speech is not allowed.  Okay, it isn't forbidden, you will just be ostracized from your Lord if you express something forbidden.  So, to Rawat and his minions, it just doesn't look all that unreasonable, I think.  Kind of out of touch with people;  Rawat certainly is.

Remember when Rawat was quoted repeatedly when he said that his mission "isn't a democracy?"  He got that right.

That show with puppets sounds interesting.  There is one in New York called "Avenue Q" which is a musical with both puppets and people.  I heard there is the same kind of phenomenon you mentioned, that the audience starts to see the puppets and the actors on the same level.

It won the Tony for best musical a couple of years ago.  The problem with that show is that it isn't touring as most musicals do, it's still playing in New York, but also set up permanently in Las Vegas.  It's kind of depressing.

I'm looking forward to seeing "Wicked" next month when it opens in San Francisco.
