But Gainesville had the Assram (about 100 miles away) and Miami Assram was a 30 minute flight. The need for an 'official' assram wasn't there, and in 1976 when Randy Prouty came through to enlist assramies, we were told to go to Miami as that was where the mahatma's were accepting applicants.

Tampa had a thriving community, no rainbow grocery, no divine sales shoppe, no Mexican pottery street sales, no book buying etc etc. It had dedicated people that were focused on the "p" word.... (propogation).

I know many of them disappeared as it became clear that m was not into propogation. Tampa did not have the sanctioned "holy" places to depend on ... instead it had loyal dedicated premies. And that apparently meant very little to m or DLM/Elan Vital. MEANING.....No revenue stream!
