Hey, Ophelia, help me out here. I'll tell ya what I know and I need to preface this by saying that I didn't live in San Diego at that time. Marolyn's father (Johnson) lived in Chula Vista, a suburb of San Diego. Apparently, Maharaji created an ashram in San Diego just for him so maybe he could get Knowledge (don't know if he did or not.) Anyway, from what I heard San Diego was too wild for an ashram to establish itself and guilt and shame everyone into submission. It disbanded rather quickly.
