Hey, if you want to like Dr. Phil, be my guest -- I know a few people who do, and please don't listen to me.  I don't like it when I say things here and people think they need to "follow" my point of view. 

That said, I just wasted a big hour of my life watching for for Steve Hassan on that show, who is a very good cult expert and counselor, who sat in the front row of the audience and got about 30 seconds of Dr. Phil's "precious" throne time. 

The good thing is that Phil did present to the public what's going on in Utah with the fundy Mormons (as if the regular Mormons aren't a cult! -- cough).

So, take it from someone (me) who has had many therapists ranging from excellent, good, horrible, and bad, and back to exellent, I can safely say, Dr. Phil is a egomaniacal quack! 

He really did give Steve Hassan just 30 seconds.  Unbelievable...
