I know Jerry Springer's very bright and all - ex-mayor of Cincinnati indeed - though with a slightly risque past - and he speaks very eloquently. Actually, he was born here in London because his Jewish family were fleeing the Holocast (on the way to New York) though he was raised over there.It's not him ,but the show he compares I have an issue with. We already have had a taste of the US show syndicated over here but I was horrified about the prospect of him working with British audiences. Maybe what I was most worried about was seeing them behave the way I have seen folks behave over there! 
Most of all though it's the general dumbing down that concerns me.
