I’m a lawyer,

living on the Eastern seaboard. For the last 30 years or so, I’ve followed Maharaji’s advice, to varying degrees, and I’ve got to say that I’ve been a little disappointed. Maharaji didn’t really fulfill my expectations. Listening to Maharaji didn’t make me rich and famous. Listening to Maharaji didn’t make me a perfect husband or a perfect parent. Listening to Maharaji didn’t make me a genius or a superman. The only thing that listening to Maharaji did was to help me feel peace. For thirty years now, faced with failure and success, death and life, loss and love, I’ve been able to feel peace. It turns out that feeling peace, simple as it is, is a gift beyond expectations. I’m grateful to Maharaji for giving it to me.

Maharaji makes me laugh – at myself and my gloom and doom approach to problems. My life isn’t really so bad. I’m not wildly successful, but I’m doing all right. I’m not fabulously rich, but I’m comfortable. When I listen to Maharaji, its usually on a wide-screen TV with stereo sound, broadcast on Dish Network or public access cable. These days, I try to put my gratitude to Maharaj into action by helping out the groups that support his message: Elan Vital and the Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF). I do what I can to support Prem Rawat’s work. I’m having a great time listening to Maharaji. Why should I keep it to myself?
