Thanks for posting it. I read it until the end. We do a fair share of FB advertising, but haven't seen too much of these kind of problems, mostly because we conversion or traffic campaigns rather than engagement (like) campaigns. We do sometimes get bots filling in forms though.

It amazes me that they can sell those profiles for so much money.

Some years back we ran an online contest, where we had people verify with their phones. This stopped most of the cheating, but we definitely had a few despite this. We could never figure out how they did it.
