Netanyahu visited Trump today.  Trump seemed to concede that 2 state solution might not happen and a 1 state solution may work. (Apartheid)

What about a 3 state solution where Israelis and Palestinians who call BS on the never ending "you are guilty, no you are guilty" get to live together in peace,  while the other 2 sides continue the insanity?

Neat idea. I wonder if Trump even knows what a 2 state solution means though.

"I see stories of chaos, chaos, yet it is the exact opposite," he (Trump) said.
"This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine, despite the fact that I can't get my Cabinet approved."

He obviously didn't want to answer that question for whatever reason, maybe he thought it irrelevant, but not being a skilled political practitioner, he made an awfully gruesome exit. As he was elected by people who are sick to the back teeth of that sort though, maybe it doesn't matter.

Cancelling the 2 state 'solution' is a welcome acceptance of the fact that there is no solution. As someone who would like to see Israel expand into the territory of the original mandate, this is an obstacle removed.

What juvenile tossers (your link) think about it doesn't cut any ice with me.

Do you mean expanded Israel as one state for all its citizens with equal rights to all or an apartheid state?

maybe he thought it irrelevant to say? Seems he's more focused on the juvenile nature of the presenters (point taken) of that clip, rather than on the valid questions of the journalist which they gave publicity to.

Pity that the relevant points can often be ignored in the process.

What I mean is that as the 'best' government in the whole of the middle east is to be found in Israel, then an expansion of its territory will benefit a larger number of people. OK, it's a pretty crude idea, but given the alternatives, doesn't look so bad to me.

I don't recognise 'apartheid state' as a real description. It's a propaganda label. Either you break the siege or you all die....again. That's the reality of your situation.

At who's expense? Can you take a couple of newly displaced people at your house to make more condo's and tennis courts? Gaza(worlds largest prison) already has 5x the population density as New York City, w/o any skyscrapers. A secular country with equality for all, and contraction of the settlements would be good. With people like Obama forking over another 38 billion in F14's and tanks to be used on their own people on his way out, that doesn't seem likely. Israel is an illegitimate terrorist government that needs to be ostracized and sanctioned until it obeys international law, with it's leaders off to the Hague for war crimes.

I live there, but even here if you don't want to know the truth and most of Israelis prefer not to think about it at all, until of course there is some unpleasant event. The main media do not show any of what is going on in the occupied territories, unless it is something very unusual or something that got caught by the camera and they cannot ignore it.
So, many who live outside Israel knows about the cruel military occupation, and the two law systems and life that developed in the same area, one for Jewish settlers and one for the Palestinians, living on their land, or trying to live there. There is no one aspect of their lives that is not badly affected by this double system, actually the settlers get what is taken from the Palestinians, lands, water, economy, development, and all this is intended since 1967, no matter what is the political party governing. The real body that decides in Israeli is the army.

That's what happens when you live in a state of siege. How to break out of it is the question.

That is what we were told since day one, while we were the attackers, serial deniers of peace proposals, it was our idea no to let the Palestinians go back to their homes after the 48 war, thus creating an endless conflict. It was our choice.

that Israeli is not a democracy. In a democracy the army abides by the law and obeys the government not vice versa.

I agree the army has more influence on policy than it does in say the UK, but there's a big difference between that & total control. Just look to your neighbours for that.
