Like a lot a celebrities she came up here and viewed the tar sands for herself. Neil Young's statement, "It looks like Hirosima" comes to mind. What she said is true and made a lot of sense. "the tech. is there to get off this stuff" Our PM spouts the same, but like me quitting cigarettes, it's always easier to procrastinate. Jane got flack from locals, but the point is she has every right to be there because all the planet shares the water and weather. It's not just a Canadian thing. With our tiny population, we put out more greenhouse gases than anyone. WHY? The States. We sell most of our dirty oil to them at 1/3 off market price, then rebuy refined products at big prices. She's Ok. Sure she got a bad nickname, "Hanoi Jane"-- 45 years ago, but I think she's a good woman, despite her recent declaration of Christianity. I don't think she's doing this for publicity. Neil Young? Once he moved to Cali, and the Buffalo Springfield got big, he never went back to these cold winters. I don't blame him. He's a good man too and doesn't need money. It's nice that some Celebs have a heart.
