Well thanks, that's more praise than my poem deserves.

I've told this before, but when I quit the cult a friend of mine became very rich and was in the habit of giving Mr Rawat a lot of money. And somehow, he got to spend time with him alone whenever he came to England.

So when I quit, my friend suggested I should go with him to talk to Rawat. When I asked him what he thought might be gained by that, he said he thought Rawat might gain from being exposed to someone questioning him and his authority. He was certain that Rawat had lots of difficulties due to never having had people around him who were critical.

Well the prospect wasn't attractive to me even though I'd spent years imagining one to one with Rawat would be some kind of panacea. Nothing came of it, but it made an impression on me that after all the contact my friend had had with Rawat, this lack of criticism in Rawat's life was all he really told me about.

Maybe narcissists are born unable to accept criticism. Maybe they're made by not having any as they're growing up.

My psychology qualifications are zero, in case you hadn't guessed.

I grew up in a family and school where taking the piss was rife and often the cause of a great deal of hilarity. Hard for me to imagine growing up without that.
