Rawat reminds me of my father.  When we were grown up we used to talk about him having a shit fan - anything remotely critical would instantly come back as your fault.

The trauma in my father's childhood undoubtedly happened, but he was born the way he was. 

He was a hurtful individual.  We always thought he didn't really mean it and yet that wasn't the truth of it.  It was deliberate, he liked making people feel hurt, none more than his own family.
