I've just read on Facebook that Kerry Rutherford, who posted here as Quirky, passed away on Monday 11th March. She posted her last post here on 13th January.It appears her final days were eased by knowing she was loved. I guess we can't ask for much more. John.

Thanks John,I appreciate this follow up to Quirky, and her last posting. I knew Kerry in the 80's, 90's ... a premie, single mother.. very sincere and quite involved in the 'community'. We both exited in 2000-ish It was only later that I learned of her more clandestine creative talents, as she later wrote songs for her band (prehensile utensil ?) and poetry. She had a rich life in spite of the cult sublimation we all experienced... which was a long - or short bump in the road as we perceive it.

So sad to learn this. I never met her. I bought her poetry book. Inspiring to live fully and reflectively.

As sad as the news is, her posts and everything in About the Author (the link in Susan's post) tells a different story. Somehow it seems like a story we all have in common. Making our way as best we can. Driven by the best of our nature and aspirations. Thriving here, pulling ourselves up by our own bootstraps there. Thank you, Kerry, for leaving us with such a beautiful glimpse of who you were.
