The Rotaractors - dedicated young people from around the world working for world peace.

Rawat's message.

Can these two approaches really work together?

"Prem Rawat speaks to the Rotary Club."

Wow, he's not grasping to appear mainstream or anything is he?  What a jerk.

Rotoract is a sub-group of Rotary International, a very well respected business/charitable organization.  Rotaract is targeted to college age students and young profesionals, often the children of Rotarians.  I can understand why Elan V. wants into this group, it is a path to more money.   What I can't understand is why this organization (Rotary) has not done a better job of vetting this speaker for their event.  Is this for real?  Please get my email from John and send me more details.

I had a couple of freinds attend this convention.  I will check and see what impact he had.

Can we get somebody to go to this and address him as "Guru Maharaj Ji"?  Maybe do a pranam?  At least hand out a brochure detailing the evolution of this speaker they are listening to.  "From The Lord of the Universe to the Rotary Club".  Wow.  It's a Rotary Club function.  Surely it would be possible to get past his usual goons.

Maybe I'll just write to some headquarters of the Rotary Club.  Or this group.  Does the Rotary Club know about him?  Would they want to have any association with him if they did?  Hard to imagine that.

Prem Rawat at the Rotary Club. How sickening.

I wonder about this because Rawat spoke in L.A. on June 8th and this says he was in Sweden on June 9th.  Huh.

A google search of "Rotaract groups +rawat" showed only 14 hits with this being the only one with "prem rawat" in the site (which is a premie presenting Rawat):

He sure has been putting some miles on the GV so far this year.  It's his 40th anniversary as a guru.

When I see this stuff I think, well, maybe at least they are trying to change.

But I can't help but be angry that the same guy who accepted all the trust funds, inheritances and gifts of every worldly possession people owned is now trying to legitimize himself as a philanthropist.

Really, with whose hard earned money is he doing that? How did he get so rich? Well, we all know, selling himself as Lord of the Universe. Now, he hides his past, and in some sort of perhaps wanting to make his children less ashamed of him move he "establishes" charitable funds?

The idea of him speaking to young Rotarians really makes me angry.

Until and unless he ever deals with his past honestly all of this is still a part of a con and self serving. What he should be doing is a mea culpa and establishing college funds for the children of the premies who gave him everything in the seventies and eighties.

Probably a teleconference type of thing.  I think that's what he did at the mythical UN celebration in San Francisco last year.

I actually think it's funny that Rawat is speaking to the Rotary Club.  Kind of apt, actually, to the meaningless footnote he has become.

Admittedly, unlike Elan Vital, the Rotary Clubs cannot boast the Lord of the Universe as their leader, nevertheless they are not considered meaningless at all but are well respected in the U.K. for their good works for children, the elderly, the destitute etc

I grew up in the American Midwest and the "Rotary Clubs" were the most square, boring, groups of people who got together to do what I never really knew.  They were kind of like the Elks Clubs or the Toastmasters.  I actually think they have fallen into obscurity in the USA.  They still exist, but rarely do you hear about them.  They are kind of a small-town, rural thing.

Give the guy a break Joe. You know how hard it is to plan for retirement these days. You need 2 recommendations from the world of maya to back up the1st one, or else how do you get that lifetime achievement award to hang on your wall.

What a pathetic piece of shit.

This is just a continuation of the Legitimacy Project -

http://prem-rawat-critique.org/legitimacy.htm

and

http://prem-rawat-critique.org/process.htm

These events have little to do with getting new adherents although that would be a bonus for the cult I suppose. The main purpose is  to enhance Rawat's 'brand value'.

Rotary has been used on a number of occassions before - as an example of this works see:
