Superficially that seems a fair statement.

But, say the techniques were not unique to him, that he had lied that they were, when it is easily proved they are not, and I mean proved not just a hunch or belief.

What also if those techniques work just the same for the % of people they do work for, whethjer prem rawat is involved, some other guru, or no other guru at all.

Being naive might be useful for an experience of knowledge to happen for you, but it's absolutely no use when it comes to truth.

But then we already know the only truth you're interested in is the truth of the heart, and nothing else counts, and anything that interferes with your experience of the heart you will immediately switch off from.

That whether you acknowledge it or not is a form of spiritual arrogance because it elevates heart truths above all others, and then can do no other but patronise when it comes up against other truths that are in conflict.

Why would a pudding need proof?

The original meaning of 'prove' was to 'test', hence the expression.

Haven't posted here for a couple of years, but the Magritte classic caught my eye.

Even though that painting had other ironic layers - especially: well, it isn't a pipe..it's a painting of a pipe ...the photos catch the essence of our argument here on this forum: isn't it obvious Prem Pal is a cult leader?  Anybody arguing he isn't-- that is, the premies -- are disingenous, at best.  Liars, actually.  I/we speak from experience.  We always said to the unititiated that Maharaji was "a teacher," even though we believed he was our savior.  Have things changed?  No.  The denial is just deeper.

"The denial is just deeper"

Premies still don't realise that facts just won't go away.

>Premies still don't realise that facts just won't go away.<

Using descriptions of psychological ill health or of learning difficulties as refrence points is always problematic - and should probably be avoided. But as with latest premie visitor to this forum, I find the comparison between premie behaviour and autism unavoidable.

So often premies - and especialy when they are in propogation or defending Rawat mode - seem wholly unable to empathise with the rest of the world. I  think that 'the facts' of the Rawat cult as most human beings would see it, are completely unobtainable for many premies.

By unobtainable I mean that psychologically the reality is so dangerous that those 'facts' simply do not exist for the premie mind. So yes the way premies respond to Rawat's critics is as though they believe 'the facts will go away' - but for their individual experience 'the facts' are phantoms dreamed up in someone elses nightmare.
