Has some sort of pressure been put on them to do so, do you think? I'm going to read some more.
A little later, I admire your patience Joe. After reading a few of those premie-predictable posts I was ready to lose my cool and just tell them they were all a lot of idiotic brainwashed tape recordings.
It's a good job I didn't post here when premies used to jump in on the forum, I'd have been blowing my top in no time.
I just can't be bothered to point out the flaws in an argument when I know that no-one's home except Rawat's altar picture.
The hopelessness of their locked in stereotyped attitudes makes me feel helpless to reach them in any logical way and incredibly angry at the process that has turned people into blind yes men.
But I'd love to see other more diplomatic exes than me post there, perhaps when I've calmed down I'll try again, I left a little message incognito.

I also wondered why the many messages were deleted. Hmmm... I understand your anger because when I read them I felt a bit of the same. I started composing a response, but I think at this point, I just want to warn others about not joining the cult and I'll do it right here. The lifers have all the information and resources at their fingertips (literally) but they choose not to read nor listen. Also, it's young, vulnerable folks I would be more concerned with warning against Maharaji. If something I say here educates somebody about the cult, then I'm happy.

Close watch says
"As a matter of fact I am the Perfect Master" - Prem Rawat. How exactly is this not saying he is perfect or the Master? And if you doubt this what's that picture right opposite here at the moment?
That is Prem Rawat sitting on the throne and the title is "LORD of the
UNIVERSE", right under "Clarity" and two items down from the "book" In
Question. It is in fact his Answer to a former item on sale here, the
Question:- "Who is Guru Maharaji?" But it is, of course, the wrong
answer.
However it is a view that he and they held and now deny,
and the concept which still holds his servants in fear, and which makes
him one of the most wealthy beggars on the planet, and certainly one of
the most dangerous: particularly for the young, the trusting, the
lonely, the vulnerable, the wealthy and the soon to be disappointed
seekers of truth. Spend some more money if you are buying Peace is

Hello Joe, Good points made! I also had a try at posting onto the amazon thread but somehow failed ...my post simply dissappeared on pressing the yellow 'get a real name and post' button. For what it is worth ..here is what I tried to post.. OK but a biography is only useful to the extent that it is true. Otherwise it should be classified as fiction or, at best, mere apologism. It is simply a fact that in the 70's and 80's Guru Maharaji' presented himself as on par with Jesus, Krishna etc. In India Prem Rawat still dresses up as Krishna and his Indian followers line up to kiss his feet. Elan Vital produced a 2007 calendar for his followers comprising nothing but pictures of Prem Rawat. His 'Possibility of Peace' entails listening to nearly 70h of DVDs comprising little other than Rawat's talking head. Objectively he can only be described a the leader of a personality cult and it is disingenuous to pretend otherwise. There is an interesting book to be written about the history of Prem Rawat and his declining cult but this does not appear to be it. best Tim
