I was there - I thought it was Brighton. Like the rest of the premies, I just didn't know how to respond to a non-premie warm-up man. What was all that about?
Much prefer Parsons on 'Just a minute'

yes he took all the ashram premies and some selected community premies to the circus, which Nicholas Parson hosted. He did a satsang some time layer called 'Dr Lord's circus'.

I remember Tommo. It was about 1985? at the Brighton Centre ....and didn't one of Rawat's children "breakdance" ? I also vaguely remember Marolyn speaking.....saying her kids would soon be teenagers and that she knew nothing about bringing up teens....sounded a bit desperate. I thought Nicholas P. must be a premie at the time....but after seeing him in Paris, a few years later, on stage as the narrator for the Rocky Horror Show I realised that he'd do anything as long as he got paid

He was the MC at a children's party Rawat held in the Brighton Centre in 1995 or 6. So that's at least 3 sightings of the man.
He was very good : an effortlessly professional light entertainer. I thought he probably wasn't a follower, as when Rawat put in a brief appearance at the end, to the usual gasps & a sprinkling of much muted applause by normal standards, his breezy manner remained unchanged.
That was the only time I've ever seen Prem when he wasn't in Lotu/Perfect Master/Motivational speaker mode & he seemed much diminished. Certainly his personality couldn't compete with that of Parson's.
It seemed very odd at the time...........also no '.vibe'. A complete waste of space, especially as I spent all day in the car getting there & back. lol
However, I can't speak for the children who were there.

I remember going to Brighton to see Nicholas Parsons MC a program of some sort, probably mid 80s or so. If I recall, Parsons was not a premie but an uncle of a premie and presumably that premie was asked or suggested to arrange a program. Actually come to think of it I don't think Rawat actually spoke at the program, rather he and his family sat in some plush seats at the front of the audience (I wonder if he paid to get such good seats?), with Parsons just doing his stand up routine. Maybe there was a premie band doing some music. Parsons may have done some other programs that Rawat attended, I just don't remember. And I also remember going to a circus show, with traditional soft top etc, which Rawat & co attended. I don't think that Parsons was at the circus show, I may be wrong however. The circus show was rather bizarre as the audience kept glancing at his Lordship and his family to catch their reactions. Can't remember where the circus was held. Battersea Park?? T

Just a whimsical question really. ... As I listened to Just a Minute ..I thought 'just a minute?' and wondered whether that half remembered bit of extra surreality really happened? best Tim

Maybe we should have done satsang like that. And now tommo, you have the subject - enlightenment. What do you have to say about enlightenment without deviation, repetition or hesitation, starting now?

"without deviation, repetition or hesitation" Heh heh. There would have been less heartfelt "so" s and "Y'know" s.
