Who else would want to pay to 'own' a non-profit making website? Only someone who has more to lose from its continued existence, perhaps. Ok, maybe that is a bit fanciful - but it's happened before when the $cientologists took over the Cult Awareness Network. 'Ex-premie.org' has become such a strong brand over ten years, that if Prem, Jossi and the gang could pay good money to take it over, bowdlerise it, or destroy it, I wouldn't be that surprised. They could fill it with ex-premie 'appreciations' where people who no longer feel a need to call themselves premies have, nonetheless, an undying gratitude to the man who changed their lives for the better...

As to price - how about a year's turnover for EV/TPRF say $8million US. Of course sale of the domain does nothing regarding the content which of course can be downloaded by anyone for inclusion on other sites: ex premstudent, ex_premstudent, ex prem follower etc etc - not to mention all the .org, .net, us combinations. And then there's Blogs ! Frankly the cult would be mad to buy ex premie - it would make them look just like Scientology. Maybe with the all Tom Cruise publicity, Rawat thinks that the Dianetics route will provide a better pension. Maybe that's unfair, maybe he just wants to donate ex premie to Oxfam. N

John, If knowledge is 'beyond price' then how much more valuable again is the cure, antidote and preventative ? EPO .. 'the seventh key'. Thanks for being its staunch custodian and guardian. I suppose it is just possible that someone other than Rawat et al would want to buy the domain purely as a commercial proposition? i.e. Simply on the basis that it gets a lot of hits and could be used to place advertisements ?... can't imagine for what though .. best Tim

1 $ to the guy who crawls all the way from wherever to Latvia, through the mud, slush, & snow, in order to own the secret nollidge which explains the secret nollidge.
Anyone who flies into Riga in a private jet, $100 mil.
I don't mind taking 6% to broker the deal, if that's acceptable to both parties.

just spotted this Susan ..very good list! best Tim

Geeze John, That sounds tempting. I wonder if they would like to buy my old Prem Rawat cult magazines and tape collection? Not to mention my Guru Maharaj Ji button collection. Plus many divine photos, flyers, music albums and other stuff. (sorry no bragons available) but I still have some holy water. You know, give them a package deal. So John, can I get a peace of the action? What do you think? I'm just kidding ofcourse. Best Thougths to You and Mike! Hilltop

Seriously!
Or even better what's your price to have the collection copied and sold?
who wants to buy EPO.
Old books, magazines, buttons, tapes and videos, yes!
A bunch of squabbling 50 somethings, no thanks!
Sorry Ocker, My collection is not for sale. Unless ofcourse you have a ton of money. I didn't know EPO was a bunch of squabbling 50 somethings or are you trying to confuse me. (?) For you, I think the price of what I have just went up. Hilltop

If the cost of having some of your collection copied was paid for then you lose nothing but the world gains a powerful repository of true information about Prem Rawat freely available for anyone who wants copies in the future and if your house burns down the last copy of Divine Times won't burn with it.
If I say EPF was a bunch of inspiring 50 somethings dedicated to truth about Rawat (which it is) would that lower the price back?

If you can get $1,000,000 for it, we can have a massive party. And think of all the spare time you and Mike will have, not to mention the regular posters. Anth the sensible.

I agree Anth ! Hold out for a decent price though John. What did Nik say ? £ 8 million ( or was it dollars) is Elan Vital's annual income ? Buy another big house in the woods next door to yours and we'll use it as an Ex-Premie holiday home/ashram.....truly the neighbours from hell.
It would be interesting to know who wants to buy it. On the other hand why not keep it and make some advertising revenue yourself......use an agent to find the business.
How about we charge Rawat a fixed rate for every ashram premie who put in thousands of hours of selfless service helping to make him rich. Figure out a set rate per hour (minimum wage or something), compound the interest from then till now, and let everybody who posts here who qualifies get compensation for those lost years of their lives. That sounds like a fair price to me.

Nik,I assume that premrawat.net either expired or was otherwise acquired by this advertising company. Are you suggesting that they seek out active popular sites and try to buy them hoping to turn the sites into advertising for the companies they promote? John.
>Are you suggesting that they seek out active popular sites ..< No not really - I was just amused by PremRawat.net being an empty advertising shell and I guess it is how premies would like to see EPO. I can't see why any sane person would want to buy the ex premie.org domain name, unless it's someone who wants to do a squat in the hope of eliciting more dough for selling it on to Rawat than they can buy it for. But let's imagine that I could be bought out, how much should I ask? Lots and lots and lots of money. So much money the secret inquirer couldn't even consider it. Oh, and who would want to buy it anyway? Geoffrey Staker? He reared his head on Wikipedia last week, libelling exes. That's my guess, given it's not likely EV (and definitely not rawat) would directly contact you. Staker would probably make it into a hate-group website. It's all lila, John. A test.
