I'm thinking of writing some news releases about myself regarding the significant contributions I make to various charities that are involved in good causes.  By so going I will have added considerably to the legitimacy I have amongst my friends and family.  What might one call a win-win situation.

Excerpt:

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Prem Rawat Foundation made a significant contribution to Oxfam America to aid people in need of water as a result of the Middle East crisis.

During the recent conflict, water pipes, generators, pumps, and electrical networks were destroyed or severely damaged in the conflict, preventing people from receiving clean water.

Yes, it's true.  Anyone can buy the capability to write their own press releases.  Ironic, just a while ago, Tommo responded to a post of mine, mentioning Oxfam's press releases and the contrast to TPRF's:

I would imagine that "significant" is supposed to mean a lot of money, T, a helluva lot, but not enough to actual say.

In financial accountancy terms significant (alternatively 'material') means 10% or greater.

Oxfam America during 2005 had revenues of US$79 million. I very much doubt that TPRF gave US$7.9 million to Oxfam America, if they had (or even 10% of $7.9 million) they would have announced that detail.

So basically TPRF are just spinning away - again.

I very much doubt that TPRF contributed anything like say $100k (i.e. an insignificant amount of Oxfam America's revenues), just think how much fuel that would purchase for a Gulfstream V. Not a lot basically, I'm sure that TPRF makes damn sure they always have enough cash to keep that bird in flight.
