In case anyone has any doubts about the relationship between Prem Rawat and the UN, here's a  copy of one of the emails I received from them;

Dear Mr. Ginn,

We have received an email from Mr.Toni Smith of UNIC, Australia asking us to follow up with you on the matter regarding "the relationship between  the so-called religious  leader, Prem Rawat and the UN".   We have checked  the matter and  have found out that a conference room had been booked by "a certain party" at United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC)  on 12 September 2002 for a conference on "Talk on Peace through Self-knowledge".  Mr. Prem Rawat did speak  on peace and meditation.  (He did not mention anything about war in Iraq as it had not happened by then).   This meeting was an outside meeting and had nothing whatsoever to do with UN.
As you know, UNCC has a conference facility for rent for non-UN
meetings. We thank you for your concern about UN's image and  very  much appreciate it.
