Any ideas, Nik, about why they don't release these after the programs?  The Quito program took place in the middle of September.

It's interesting or intriguing? that Rawat's talks aren't dated anymore.

>why they don't release these after the programs?<

Well, always allowing for the cult opos simply being useless and having no idea how to manage media relations -

My guess is that there is no expectation that these "Press Releases" will ever be picked up by any journalist, the purpose is simply to create more  material for search engines to hit on.

The 'publishing' dates for the releases, if they are indeed planned,  are likely being set on the basis of a 'propogation strategy'. In the most recent cases it's all part of 'the next step forward' following the Amaroo event when the great mass of premies, energised by darshan will take miraji's message of peace out to the world - dinner parties and DVD cocktails for the target groups !

Ulitimately I suppose the whole ridiculous press release charade comes down to Rawat being too gutless to face a normal level of journalistic enquiry - any functional organisation would simply put a spokesperson or a focal speaker up for interview at every relevant point of media interest.

Can anyone imagine Gandhi or Martin Luther King putting out press releases months after the event so they could avoid questioning. Culture of Peace - Culture of Cowardice more like.

Same formula as the other news release about PR receiving awards.

-------
PR received the award of '...' . Local people and people from other countires came.

'Peace is inside', said Rawat.

'I am very happy about that.' said somebody local.

Formal recognition from some council/committee member.

Personal accolade from the same.

Link to find out more.

--------------

They are all like that. Carefully crafted within strcit guidelines.

Puke.

they all seem to be written by the same person. Who keeps churning these things out? They clearly have little meaning or real value. Who is impressed by these awards, keys to the city etc.?

Why would someone outside decide to do that? It is so obviously written by premies, in fact if I had to put a "face" to the "voice" I always imagine Glen saying these things.

>Who keeps churning these things out?<

It's someone who has been taught the formula expected by news outlets who like that kind of presentation because it macks the sub editor's job easier. The trouble is that for TPRF it's the same story over and over again and  the whole thing looks ridiculous. But I don't think TPRF are bothered about that - each Release provides another hit for the search engines and it's the uncritical web surfer that the cult is interested in, not hard headed journalists. Really it's just advertising dressed up as news.

and of course the costs of releasing such press releases are very low.  Never underestimate the ability of the cult making sure that not too much cash is on spent on things other than for Rawat's personal and direct benefit - such as his 'travelling' expenses.
