Its interesting to read some of the literature about cults in this regard, because it was quite eye-opening for me to learn that even two people in a relationship of unequal power can be said to be in a cult.  As long as one person is acquiescing to the demands of the other, for whatever "reasons", its a cultic relationship.

That is interesting.

If that is the criteria then there must be millions of cultic relationships going on right now. It`s all a matter of degree I suppose.

Cult dressed up as spirituality was definitely a big attraction for me as a young man, and I`ve spent many years since those heady days trying to figure out the psycology of it all and what was actually going on. It has been something of an obsession... and this is the very term that most helps me to understand it now.
