The lead singer in Seize the Day, who appear at many folk fests in addition to the Big Green, is a premie, or maybe he gave up years ago. He told me about 20 years ago that he thought Maharaji had lost the path. At the time I thought this sacriligeous and it was he himself who had done so. I was thinking just the other day how perceptive he had been. He always looks quite blissful on-stage (I talked to him earlier this year at another fest), which is probably because he has a free conscience, and lives out his beliefs. Their music is all about eco stuff, anti-globalisation and so on. He and his wife spent years living in benders and opposing destruction of ancient forest to build motorways. I don't know what he thinks about K these days. Maybe he does meditation without Maharaji. Maybe he doesn't even think about it. Maybe he's rejected anything whatever to do with both. However, he is certainly an example for a life lived well, with good feelings towards others and life in general, a free mind and conscience and putting his ideals into practice creatively through performing at folk fests in defence of the environment.
