And it is turned off by a critical decrease in salinity. As we melt the ice, we are decreasing salinity rapidly in our oceans, including the Atlantic.

We have wasted around thirty years already when the writing has been on the wall. To put it bluntly, we may not have another thirty years of stuffing around. We have to get serious about fixing our global environmental problems, and our regrettable tendencies to shoot first and ask questions later.
