I think we are at risk of entering into another civilisation decline just as their have been civilisation declines in the past . dark ages, destruction of earlier civilisations pre greco-roman etc.

When I first heard about Guru Maharaj Ji ( as he was then ) and the so-called Knowledge there was quite a strong tinge of "The End Of the World" scare-mongering related to becoming one of the Lord's chosen ones, and thus being saved. The first premie to "satsang" me in 1973  told me that one of the reasons I should give no importance to anything but receiving "Knowledge" and propogating it was because there was only a very few more years before some cataclysmic event would decimate the human race and the end of the world as we know it. I believed it and it terrified me. I don't remember Rawat ever putting a stop to these rumours....but more, by implication in some of his discourses, encouraging them.

I also remember these kind of stories were published like myths and fables in Divine Times.

There was such a strong whiff of this kind of stuff in those days.
