.......don't give me any"     or something similar. I think it was around the early to mid eighties. I felt so relieved at that time that I , more or less, stopped donating ! Heh Heh ! I gave in other ways though....like we all did.......helping with jumble and antique sales etc etc, paying to go to programmes, buying " Divine" trash and trinkets, music, videos etc......

As long as there is enough of a " band-wagon" ( "surrendered" devotees.... smiling, blissful and " loving" ) around Maharaji then there will always be those impressed enough ( and rich enough) to donate. I made up part of the faithful mob....so necessary to reinforce his image to the affluent premies who were more occasional in their attendance and didn't mix with the riff-raff.

The comment ( "if you think I want your money etc" ) was a measured and cunning move by Maharaji  who must have , by that time, been sure of some kind of  stable income ( maybe the setting- up his "book" business- Amtrax is it? had just been completed ). A good move and no doubt a well used sales trick, remembered by Tsunami and his premie family and friends to this day.

I used to use that quote too, when trying to convince non-premies that Maharaji wasn't greedy ! Honestly...how gullible can a person be !
