He definitely said that , Tsunami, or something almost the same. At the time I thought how clever and funny it was. The quote you mention " If you don't have money to donate, please don't ! " must have been a different time and place.  It's quite typical of Maharaji to repeat a similar idea to one he has already expressed but phrased slightly differently at a subsequent event. He probably went through a phase of putting across this notion to premies and interested people.Make no mistake, Maharaji is very clever at bamboozling his followers.

"If you were that man who had to spread knowledge around the world, how would you do it? would you do it with a rowboat? I'm waiting for your answer to complete my point."

If I were trying to sell "snake oil" and pass it off as " the elixir of eternal life" I would have to be confident , cleverly cunning and preferably lacking in any normal conscience as regards " right" , "wrong" and  "obligations towards fellow human beings". If this were the case then I  would have no qualms in  using any means at my disposal.
