I had the same reaction you did.  You are probably just better at seeing the unreasonableness and deceptiveness right off the bat because of your experience of having once believed that and spoken like that.  I think I am too.  But it's unreasonable to anyone who actually pulls apart what Ghi was saying, not just to you or me or people who have been in a cult.

So, I completely agree with you, and I can't find anything in Ghi's post that is reasonable or believable, except that Ghi has no problem believing it, because he is working hard to avoid actually analyzing what he is saying.  Evil mind?
