I doubt if they got permission.I was thinking though, how easy it is to get "implied" endorsements. When one organizes events and wants to present governmental citations, for example, that is so easy and the Governor, Senator, or whoever, would never know the person personally. One could publish such things to easily imply endorsements. If M could get 100 premies to write letters on his behalf for his "outstanding" work as a "humanitarian" I'm sure even someone at the UN might issue him a citation of recognition. This can cause embarassment for whoever issues the citation at a later point, but I'm sure it happens all the time. Maybe hundreds of ex-premies need to write to the UN to explain what is wrong with giving M any kind of recognition. In all fairness to Kofi Annan, he probably writes positive support letters and gives recognitions based on good faith without doing the research. He probably never heard of Guru Maharaj Ji aka. Rawat aka. Maharaji etc. (all his alias names can also confuse someone unfamiliar with him).
