As for Eric Berne's theories being "pop" psychology - yes, they may be, and the author of that article's references to Berne's "I'm OK, You're OK" certainly sounded out of place when discussing the Third Reich. But pop psych or not, if the theory holds water, it should be able to be applied to all human existence, whether simplistic or not.

Personally, I found the paras on the psychology of leaders to be fascinating.
