I asked Anna about this, but she hasn't responded,

I thought I had responded, a while back now, and also I think someone else contributed to that thread. They said they'd heard the same thing. I was under the impression that you'd been answered!

I'm now beginning to wonder if anyone else has ever heard this idea before - I'd be surprised if it was just me. May be Mike Finch?

Anyway, to try and answer your question, I've never heard this said by M directly to premies at a programme, or anything like that. But, as (I think!) I said before, it's a common understanding amongst premies. It really is along the lines of "M does not want premies reading EPO", or "There are terrible lies about M out there on the internet, and as M doesn't want his premies getting upset, so he would recommend that we ignore it". It's that type of idea. May be "agya" is not appropriate here. I don't know.
