You make a great point about the gross disconnect between people supposedly having their own experience and not being able to say a single word of their own about it.  I would say that the cult has made a sort of fetish of both extremes -- the highly, sensitive, private, don't-even-think-of-comparing-it-with-others' experience and the outrageous muzzling of any impulse to actually speak for oneself about same. 

I just wish there was someone who's still in who's ready to go who'll do so with a little flourish.  You know, stand up at a program and ridicule this bullshit a bit before they kick him out, kind of thing.
