Dant, I have to tell you that I lingered on using the word "date-rape." First, I had just "rape." Then "date-rape," then I tinkered with using "slave-rape" or "premie-rape."

But, I left it as "date-rape" because that word really seems to capture something of what Dettmers described, way before the term "date-rape" became a household word.

And, the fact of the matter is this: on some level, it may have been "date-rape." Look at it this way: Dettmers arranges a private meeting with a young, attractive premies' master. Did he disclose the nature of the visit at that time? And, late at night, when the young premie enters Rawat's room, did she really stand the chance of just walking away? What if she refused to put out? How would that affect her cult status?

Dant, I had a friend who unwillingly lost her virginity to a Rock Star at an after-concert party.  If that can be construed as "date rape," then Rawat's behavior ought to be considered using the same baseline terminology.

But, still I see your point that the term does not capture the added psychological torture that young female premies must have endured, if their late night rendevous was not consensual. And based on first hand accounts, it sounds like they were indeed not consensual.

WAIT, you wrote, "It wasn't date rape in the sense that the women were not forced. There probably isn't even anything illegal about what happened." Seriously, Dant. You completely miss the point if you view the legality of the situation as more of an issue,  than the morality aspect.
