I'm going to ignore your comment about Dettmers for now and give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't realize how arrogant and ugly your choice of expression is to a native English speaker.As I said in my first post, the significant difference between SB and Rawat is that Rawat had sex with consenting adults. I also think that Jonathan is using the wrong term. It wasn't date rape in the sense that the women were not forced. There probably isn't even anything illegal about what happened. That may be one reason why there aren't victims coming out about it in a big public way.
The point is that he used his unquestioning emotional and psychological power over the women as their supreme master to take advantage of them. In this regard he is no different than SB. Despite the fact that these women were consenting adults, they are still victims.
And Andries, I got wind of this stuff long before Dettmers spoke out. It happened.
One thing I feel very strongly about is that academics, and that includes wanna be's like yourself, have an ethical responsibility in their work. The best academics use their work to make a difference. I am gobsmacked that you of all people show such callousness to the fact that Rawat has hurt people. What the hell is wrong with you anyway?
